The Corona virus perhaps emerged from an animal source. Now it spreads from person to person. The virus spreads mainly between people who are in close contact with one another, within about 2metres. Respiratory droplets produced by infected person during coughs or sneezes are carriers of infection.
Virus released from droplets may stick on a knob, handle, or a surface. A person touching a surface or object and then touching own mouth, nose, or possibly their eyes, may acquire infection. The incidence of infection with such indirect contact is not high.
