Incubation period : 1-14 days

The symptoms may be mild to severe :-

1.       Fever

2.       Cough

3.       Breathing trouble

4.       Tiredness

5.       Diarrhoea

In 80% patients, remission is spontaneous without any treatment. 15-20% patients develop severe symptoms. Senior citizens and persons with underlying debility are more prone to severe symptoms :-

1.       Diabetes

2.       Bronchial asthma and chronic bronchitis

3.       Heart disease

4.       HIV

5.       Pregnant women  

Emergency warning symptoms

1.       Breathing trouble

2. Persistent pain or pressure in the chest
3. New confusion or inability to arouse
4. Bluish lips or face
