Visual Sound Visual Volume Pedal : MusiciansFriend : USD139.95

With the die-cast aluminum Visual Volume, the rocker position is indicated by a column of ten LEDs. With the rocker fully back (toe up, heel down) all of the lights are off and so is the volume. As you rock your foot forward, the indicators light up one by one until all 10 are lit. When all lights are on, you're at maximum volume. To find your level at a glance, LEDs 1-4 are blue, 5 is red, 6-9 are blue again, and 10 is red.The Visual Volume Pedal operates on 9V battery or an optional power supply. It will function passively without power though the LEDs will be inoperative. Visual Volume recommends using a high-quality regulated 9VDC adapter like the 1 Spot. Boss PSA, Dunlop ECB-03, Ibanez AC-109, and Morley 9V also acceptable. The Visual Volume pedal is easy to service. If you ever wear out the control pot, Visual Volume has a kit to restore your pedal to like new service. Many users are even able to make the switch themselves.Inputs and Outputs Input 1 and Output 1 are all you need for mono volume control. Tuner Out: Even with the volume all the way down, the tuner out still sends volume to your tuner, allowing you to tune silently without switching any cables around. If you don't plug into Input 2, both Outputs send the signal from Input 1, so you can plug into 2 different amps at the same time. Plug into inputs 1 & 2, and the Visual Volume becomes a stereo volume pedal. Great if you put a Stereo Chorus pedal in front of the Visual Volume. Or, plug 2 guitars into the Visual Volume and you can make quick guitar changes without unplugging. Other adjustments With the removal of the bottom plate on your pedal you can set the pedal for active or passive mode, adjust pedal tension, and in active mode, individually set the gain for each input.

TC Electronic Classic Series Sustain + Parametric EQ Equalizer Pedal : MusiciansFriend : USD299.00

The Classic Sustainer + Parametric EQ gives you studio quality compression in a guitar pedal. Crank it to the extreme and it'll give your sound that percussive "thud" brilliant for funk or country. And with its parametric EQ you're in full control of which frequencies to target. One of the true grails of vintage effects pedals. This one really enhances your tone. Go from subtle compression to extreme sustaining effects at the tweak of a knob. This sustainer will prolong life of even your weakest tone otherwise destined for premature death.Controls Sustain- Sets the amount of sustain. Freq Center- Sets the center frequency to be attenuated or boosted by the Function control. Function- From notch filter type to peak filter type. Notch settings will attenuate frequencies around the Freq Center. Peak settings will emphasize the selected frequency area. High Q- The "Q" value switch allows you to alternate between two different curve-widths. If you are looking to attenuate an annoying frequency you should most likely use the notch filter type with a narrow Q (out position). If, on the other hand, you are aiming to make general adjustments in a frequency area, the wider Q setting should be used (in position). Experiment. Output Level - Controls the overall output level of the pedal. Noise Gate- The Classic Sustain+Parametric EQ comes with a built-in noise gate that can eliminate unwanted noise deriving from pedals placed previous in the signal chain or noise coming from the Classic Sustain+Parametric EQ itself when extreme settings are used. The single control adjusts the Threshold point. Attack and Release parameters have fixed settings based on common applications.

TC Electronic Classic Series Booster + Distortion Pedal : MusiciansFriend : USD299.00

Using a gate is always a compromise between eliminating the noise when you are not playing yet still being able to play phrases with a low dynamic content. Experiment to find the best setting for your setup. Boost/Distortion: Selects boost or distortion function. Use boost for a clean boost that will raise the level on clean/crunch sounds and use the distortion to experience the classic distortion that gives you a fat easy to control distortion sound. Distortion: Sets the amount of distortion when the pedal is used in distortion mode. Bass: Add a bit of bass for extra punch or attenuate if you feel you are about to blow your speakers. Treble: Adding boost or distortion to a sound always changes the perceived amount of treble. Use the Treble control to adjust the amount of high-end frequencies in the sound. Seymour Duncan SFX-06 Paranormal Bass EQ Direct Box : MusiciansFriend : USD139.95

While passive DIs proved to be quite useful for recording bass or sending bass to a console for live performance, people began to notice a decrease in overall response and punch. That's when active DI's came to the rescue. But how many are tailored to the response of a bass guitar? The Seymour Duncan SFX-06 Paranormal Bass EQ DI is, featuring a three-band active EQ that's optimized for bass along with a contour switch for slapping styles.Seymour Duncan SFX-06 Paranormal Bass EQ DI, First Take: Active DI with three-band EQ optimized for bass Dedicated contour switch for slapping styles Solid construction, balanced XLR out and ground lift DI with active three-band EQThe three-band EQ allows you to dial in your tone in any room, sculpting your lows, mids, and highs quickly and easily. So, along with performing the normal functions of a DI, you get the benefit of adding an active EQ to your bass without having to make any modifications to your instrument. The EQ provides ±12dB boost and cut for each band, which have center frequencies at 30Hz for deep lows, 650Hz to contour the mids, and 5.2kHz for presence, clarity and attack. Proprietary Slap Contour switch for happy slapping The SFX-6 also features Seymour Duncan's proprietary Slap Contour switch, which applies an additional preset EQ curve. As the name implies, this is a dedicated switch for slapping styles, but it also adds an extra dimension to fingerstyle or pick playing. Slap Contour gives you a 6dB boost at 80Hz to bring out the bottom and cuts 6dB at 650Hz to reduce the mud that can occur in the low mids. The result is a solid low end and more room for attack. By using it with the 3-band EQ, you can bring out more attack information if needed, as well as extra bottom below 80Hz. Solid construction and hum elimination Built like a tank with a 16-guage steel chassis and powered by either a single 9V battery or a regulated DC power supply, the SFX-06 features a balanced XLR output with ground lift to eliminate electromagnetic interference and AC-hum. Seymour Duncan SFX-05 Lava Box Distortion Pedal : MusiciansFriend : USD99.95

The Lava Box is not an ordinary MOSFET distortion/overdrive effect pedal. It actually reacts more like a great amp than a stompbox, with the depth and dynamics that give well-made amps character. When you think about the tones that defined so many of the true guitar heroes throughout history, they all really speak. They cut through. They say something. A huge part of that is in the rich midrange frequencies that the amplifiers of the day naturally produced. And, because those amps were typically cranked up to full volume, they were also incredibly dynamic, responding to different picking attacks and even subtle changes to the guitar's volume control. The Lava Box brings that magic back with its broad array of midrange timbres and its amazing sensitivity to picking intensity and volume changes. One of coolest features is the six-position Rumble bass roll-off control. This rotary knob changes the sonic character of the Lava Box pedal's distortion for a huge range of tones, from bright and spanky to deep and warm. Whether you have the thinnest single-coil in the bridge of your guitar or the woolliest humbucker in the neck, there is a Rumble setting that's perfect for it.Even at the highest gain settings, you can turn down your guitar's volume control and the Lava Box guitar pedal will clean up beautifully. Onstage, you can set the Lava Box for a loud lead tone and simply use your guitar's volume control to get your clean and crunch tones—all without switching channels or kicking in other effects. In the studio, you can explore the huge array of tones that are available with the intuitive controls, creating special-effect thin tones or spooky dark sounds that are perfect for layering and overdubs.
