1. Renewal charges are about US$120 for ten years or US$20 for one year. 2. You may modify contact details at RegistryWeb whois. Contacts at official whois (at other websites) are domain.com@owner-handle.com, etc. 3. For transfer from RegistryWeb to another registry, a contract termination fee of US$50 is payable. With hardly any one reading domain registration agreement, it appears to be a case of unlawful extortion. I know Australians, Germans and Swiss are best known for civilisation and culture, and can't think of such nefarious activity. I hope Australian/German/Swiss police and judiciary would soon probe into this cyber crime (by some migrants?) and host the criminals at their bonafide home. Cyber agreements are intended to prevent misuse of services by bad people. Here a malafide agreement is used as extortion tool by the seller. |

You are welcome to contact another Registry and transfer your domain name at any time. There are 2 simple steps to transfer your domain name away from RegistryWeb: 1. Terminate your Contract and open a Transfer Window using the form

This is the only method that will result in a successful transfer. There is no need to make any other domain changes when using the above process. Please note that we are not involved in the transfer process so ongoing customer support will be provided by your new registry, not by us. Regards, Jeremy Ford

M/S Registry Web Subject : Blackmailing in Domain Registration Esteemed Sirs Please refer to your email message dated 03 May 2004 1. I have never come across a person who reads service agreement at the time of domain registration. 2. WHOIS shown at your website is malafide, being different from official
WHOIS; please find comparison table at
3. Your explanation of domain-handle as contact is incorrect. Trial messages sent to rushsale.net@admin-handle.com failed to reach me 4. Payment of ransom (contract cancellation fee) is not the only way to reclaim domain. Domain is registered with joker.com . After furnishing my identity proof, I can claim password and remove handles. Else there is Domain Dispute Tribunal to take care of such matters. I have already reported the matter to Commission Junction and am contacting Telecom Ministry, Govt of Australia to investigate trapping of other people through malafide service agreement. With regards

Enter your domain name in Section 1 below. Do not include http://www. Enter your RegistryWeb Invoice Number in Section 2. You will find this number on the invoice you received when you originally registered your domain. This number is required to verify your identity. Click here if you have lost your Invoice Number. Please note that we are charged US$50 in Contract Termination Fees before we can open a Transfer Window, so we simply pass this fee on to our customers. The fee will be charged to your credit card as shown below. Enter payment details in Section 3. Please ensure that your credit card details are valid because declined or returned credit cards can result in loss of your domain name. Finally, when you are certain that all details are correct, click on the "Submit My Order" button. 24 hours after you submit this form, you need to contact another registrar of your choice and ask them to submit a Transfer Request for this domain name. Comment : Trapping of registrants into malafide agreement is understandable. Whom and why would RegistryWeb pay any ransom or contract termination fee? |

The Internet scam in short: 1. Joker.com’s reseller, registryweb.com – an Australian company - lures you in by offering inexpensive domain registration. They do not mention the real registrar, joker.com. 2. Shortly after, registryweb.com claims they no longer manage the domains, but that joker.com – a German/Swiss company - do. All you have to do is to login to a “servicezone” and take control of your domains, using the email address you registered with. 3. However, you cannot login to the service zone at joker.com as your email address now is invalid due to joker.com changing the original email address to one of their own desire (established and owned by themselves), thereby controlling the domains in full. 4. After several attempts to make joker.com change their own email addresses back to your own, they now demand money to do so - without any guarantee that, after you pay, they won't change they email addresses again, thus once again assume control over your domains. 5. By the way, none of the crooks answers any telephone calls or fax messages. Joker.com has a “robot” answer your emails – under the name of Joachim Rolf (German nickname for incompetence). Registryweb.com just doesn’t answer. Godaddy.com merely incompetent, or….? To make things even worse, one of our domains was hosted by godaddy.com - but last week the website and all our emails suddenly stopped working. Without our knowledge and information the domain has been moved from godaddy’s nameserver back to an invalid name server at joker.com! When we asked godaddy.com how this could happen without our knowledge they gave an explanation that “we should change our password as our account must have been compromized.” We made several attemps to get more detailed info from them on the matter, but godaddy.com never bothered to return with any further explanations - except of course continously using our credit card information to pay for them “hosting our domain” from an invalid name server! We have more than once reported these problems to ICANN, that has both joker.com and godaddy.com as accredited registrars, but ICANN has proven to be a totally useless organization! Advice will be received with gratitude as to how we can get our three domains back, now stolen by joker.com. :thumbs_do Beware of two clever, fraudulent Internet registrars - joker.com & registryweb.com – and warn your friends and family not to deal with these companies! The Internet scam in short:
